Better Nature was founded at the start of 2019 by four foodies, Driando, Chris, Elin and Fabio, all with one simple passion for making protein, the better way – for people, the planet and animals. Through Driando’s Indonesian background they discovered they could do this through tempeh, an all-natural plant-based protein originating in Java.
Tempeh is made through the fermentation of any legume, nut grain or seed, typically soybeans. Tempeh contains almost 20g of protein per 100g, is high in fibre and has a tasty, meaty bite. With our innovative approach, we make delicious and nutritious clean-label meat alternatives.

Our tempeh is an extremely rich source of plant-based protein, with 17g of protein per 100g. It’s also a complete protein source, with all the nine essential amino acids the body needs to function – a true all-rounder!
All of our products are 100% plant-based. We believe that the best way to create nutritious and sustainable protein products is by cutting animals out of the food chain.
Our whole range is organic and sustainably sourced. Our beans are sourced in Europe and are Pro Terra certified**, so you can feel just as good about where these products came from as you do about eating them.

Our products take on the flavour of whatever they’re cooked within a matter of minutes, can be cooked in a number of ways such as frying, baking or steaming, and usually only take about 5 minutes to cook. Easy peasy!
