‘British rum, island taste’. Impressed by the maritime heritage of the Isles of Scilly, off the rugged Cornish coast, the Day Mark on St Martins is a navigation beacon inbuilt 1683 by Thomas Eskins with iconic red & white painted bands. A small batch, triple distilled golden Venezuelan rum aged in English oak, infused with hand picked Samphire and Cornish sea salt. Notes of sweet cracked caramel and treacle, dried fruit and warming oak tones as a result of the English oak cask ageing. The addition of Samphire adds a gentle saline raise to the palate and with the Cornish sea salt tang it offers a salt-sweet balance – suppose salted caramel. A cultured rum, fresh and clean, however with a rugged island nature.
