A small batch premium botanical rum home made on the Fal River distillery in Cornwall. A rum devoted to the Cornish coast and their native seabird the ‘petrel’. Petrel means ‘last bird home from the storm’, incredibly resilient, seeming to stroll on water – graceful and robust. Single pot distillation in a Portuguese copper still produces wealthy molasses, creating sweet natural brown sugar notes. Subtle flavours of flame toasted oak, fresh home grown rosemary and top quality sourced maple are produced by heating the botanicals within the copper still by an open fire to free up crucial oils. The rum is aged in former bourbon oaks barrels which imparts oaky wood spice flavours. A phenomenally smooth, deep and well-rounded flavoured botanical rum.
