The contemporary batch of independantly bottled Macallan. This batch, # 20, is a 28 year old single malt and as such, all the time offers probably the most absolute best value in older age stated Macallan whisky around.
The nose is slightly floral and fruity with apples and oranges, a slight honeyed and butteryness is there too. The palate is oily and entire with oaky spice, forest fruits ansd a gentle chocolate note. The finish is slightly short with various barley notes, cream and caramel.
Much more focal point on American oak here, so in line with older varoations of the Fine and Triple cask.
