Another legendary bottling of old Bruichladdich. Distilled in 1970 and bottled in 2002 this is likely one of the easiest rated bottlings available in the market. 95 points from Whisky A laugh.
Matured in American Oak Hogsheads, this has an overly fruity nose with apricot, pear, passionfruit and gooseberry, ther’s also alittle vanilla sweetness and a marginally of menthol. The palate is smooth, oily and textured with loads more fruit evident. apricot annd melon again in conjunction with a bit oat cake and a slight drying grassines. The finish is smooth and lingering. A whisky you wont need to finish.
