From Independant Bottlers The Single Malts of Scotland comes this premium extension to their releases, the Director’s Special. Just 341 bottles from a single Bourbon Hogshead have been created so that is pretty rare stuff. Waxy and whole at the nose with green apple and citrus, the palate shows an unctousness and richness with lovely oak and apple flavours coming via, a nearly wine like quality comes even though. The finish is subtle with peel and spice that gradually signs off.
