Usually only to be had from the distillery, we’re delighted to have stock of the contemporary Glengoyne Teapot Dram. A hark back to the whisky which flowed from the copper teapot within the distillery canteen, this un-chillfiltered tribute dram used to be matured in first fill Oloroso Sherry casks. The whisky boasts swathes of sweet red apples, subtle Demerara sugar and tangy Seville marmalade.

Inspired by the days of tea breaks with a difference, when the employees at Glengoyne would receive a thrice-day-to-day whisky ration, the cask strength Teapot Dram Batch No. 007 has been lovingly recreated by men with a hazy recollection of those times. And as the day-to-day dram would never be taken from an old cask, this can be a deliberately young, bold whisky.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Swathes of red apples, demerara, chocolate-enrobed Turkish delight

Palate – Tangy Seville marmalade, cinnamon, cloves and wealthy, dark cocoa

Finish – Exceptionally long with a burst of crystallised sugar sweetness on the end.
